Salt Lake City, Utah – August 2-5
The descendants of Joseph Smith Sr. and Lucy Mack Smith celebrated their family in the 19th family reunion since 1972, with the theme, “Bringing the Family Back Together.”
Reunion highlights included:
- Viewing artifacts from Hyrum Smith,
- Planting a tree for each of the 11 children of Joseph and Lucy Smith,
- A 100th birthday party for Eldred G. Smith, LDS church patriarch,
- Guest speakers, children and youth activities
- Attending the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Broadcast of Music and the Spoken Word in the newly refurbished and retrofitted Tabernacle on Temple Square.
