To ensure each of your family members is registered correctly for the 2026 Smith Family Reunion, it is important to note that the registration system requires a unique email address for every attendee, including children.
Since children often do not have their own email accounts, you can use the “Gmail plus addressing” trick to satisfy this requirement while keeping all communications in your own inbox.
How the Gmail “+” Trick Works
Gmail ignores anything written between a plus sign (+) and the at symbol (@). This means yourname+child1@gmail.com and yourname+child2@gmail.com both deliver to yourname@gmail.com, but the registration website treats them as entirely different accounts.
Step-by-Step Instructions
- Select Your Tickets: On the Registration Page, select the number of tickets you need for yourself and your children (e.g., “13 and above” or “4 – 12 years”).
- Enter Primary Information: For your own registration, use your standard email address:
username@gmail.com. - Register Your Children: When the form asks for an email address for each child, use your email with a unique label added after the plus sign:

- Complete Checkout: Click the Get Tickets button to finish. The system will accept these as unique registrations, and you won’t encounter “duplicate email” errors.

By registering, you enter into the following Assumption of Risk, Release and indemnification Agreement (hereafter “the Agreement”), and you agree that you will be subject to the Agreement’s terms. If you are registering the name(s) of any additional individual(s), your registration is your promise that you are authorized by legal guardianship or by lawful delegation to accept this Agreement on behalf of any such individual(s), and that such individual(s) will be subject to the terms of this Agreement. In the event that any individual later argues that you were not authorized to sign this Agreement on his or her behalf, you agree that you will indemnify and defend the reunion and its organizers against any potential legal claim(s) that any such individual may assert against the reunion or its organizers, now or in the future.
REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
Refunds of registration fees will be made after the reunion if costs are met and as long as notification is made by Friday, July 17, 2026. A $10.00 processing fee will apply for all cancellations. Cancellations can be sent to Frances Orton at ortonfrances@gmail.com.
PRIVACY POLICY
The Joseph Smith, Sr. and Lucy Mack Smith Family Reunion does not and will not sell your name or other private profile information to any outside parties.
IMAGE AGREEMENT
By filling out this form and attending the reunion meetings and activities, you grant permission for the reunion website (http://reunion.josephsmithsr.org) or future reunion publications to use images of you and images of all other individual(s) for whom you are registering.
ASSUMPTION of RISK, RELEASE AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT
I understand and acknowledge, as a voluntary participant in the 2026 Joseph Smith, Sr. and Lucy Mack Smith Family Reunion to be held Thursday, July 30 – Saturday, August 1, 2026 organized by the Joseph Smith, Sr. and Lucy Mack Smith Family Reunion, that this activity may have risk of injuries; that I have been informed of this fact and have been advised to take appropriate precautionary measures to provide for my safety and for the safety of all other individuals whom I am registering; and that I expressly agree to assume the risk of this activity on behalf of myself and those individuals, to release and to indemnify West High School, the Salt Lake City School District, the Joseph Smith, Sr. and Lucy Mack Smith Family Reunion and its officers, agents and employees from any liability for any injuries, accidents, illnesses, damages or claims which I may sustain as a result of my participation in this activity, even if such is occasioned by the negligence of the Joseph Smith, Sr. and Lucy Mack Smith Family Reunion.
In full awareness and acknowledgement of all risks, I also agree to be responsible for all expenses incurred or damages suffered in connection with my participation, and to release and to indemnify the Joseph Smith, Sr. and Lucy Mack Smith Family Reunion and its officers against the same. I hereby certify that I carry adequate personal accident or health insurance; that I am 18 years of age or older; and that I have sufficient authority (by legal guardianship or by lawful designation) to allow all individuals whom I am registering to participate in reunion activities.
