Salt Lake City, Utah – August 3-6
The family reception and registration took place at the Assembly Hall on Temple Square. After the reception the group was invited to attend a rehearsal of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir in the Tabernacle.
On Friday, those gathered watched a special film on the life and accomplishment of family progenitor, John Lathrop. The afternoon everyone participated in a old fashioned picnic up Big Cottonwood Canyon before returning to the Assembly Hall in the evening for a talent show.
Saturday evening, a catered banquet was served on the 26th floor of the Church Office Building of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Entertainment was provided after the meal and the family had a chance to enjoy each others company.
Reunion participants were invited to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir broadcast Sunday morning. After that a family memorial service honoring Joseph Smith Sr. and Lucy Mack Smith closed the 10th biennial reunion.
