Kirtland, Ohio – July 30 to August 2
This gathering took place 150 years after the family moved away. Oh how nice to come home and explore while hearing the family history that took place in this area.
Friday evening the group took an hour ride to the east to “the Old Tavern,” an Inn that dates back to 1798. Without doubt our progenitors stayed at this way station while traveling from the east to Kirtland. With great food and clean entertainment, it was an enjoyable evening.
To end the reunion the family held a service in the Kirtland Temple. Nothing calms and enlivens the soul with peace like the song, The Spirit of God Like a Fire is Burning while inside the Kirtland Temple.
