Nauvoo, Illinois – August 2-5
The fifth reunion of the Smith Family was held in Nauvoo. Speakers for the biennial reunion for this year include Lynn E. Smith, great-grandson of Joseph Smith, Jr., and a Patriarch in the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Eldred G. Smith, 2nd great-grandson of Hyrum Smith and Patriarch to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and Richard L. Anderson, Professor of Religion and History at Brigham Young University. Ddr. Anderson holds doctorates from Harvard in Law and from the University of California in ancient history. He authored several books and articles regarding the family.
